Image 1: London Calling

This image is a different take on the clash album cover, London Calling. I've used the same font which is on the album. The London Calling font i cutout using the pen tool. After that I again used the pen tool to cut out the bassist. Then again, used the same tool to cutout the Parliament building so i could place in front of the bassist. By changed the scale and perspective of the bassist, it looks like he's gonna smash big ben.

Image 2: Disco Queen

This image has a disco twist to it. Using the sex pistols artwork, i changed the title to 'God save the disco queen'. The idea of this being that disco was dying out. I cutout an afro to put on the queen's head and drew in some sunglasses. The union jack was edited by highlighting the different colours using the wand tool. Once I had done that, i selected everything but the queen's head and then added a patchwork filter.

Image 3: The Sex Pistols - Anarchy In the UK

First of all I cutout an image of the sex pistols and used some of there album artwork to make this collage. I used the wand tool to highlight the white colours on the Anarchy in the UK flag. Then i used the lasso tool to cutout the newspaper and to make holes in the union jack. I added some text and then brushed over the background to stick with the theme of the sex pistols. The cutout of the band was black and white so i changed that by adjusting the colours of the image.

Image 4: The Clash in White Riot

To create this image I started by cutting out the clash. The background image is of a burning car. To the left of that image was a wheel sticking out of the fire. I used the clone stamp to create a flick of flame to replace it. The cutouts have the satin effect on it to help with shading.

Image 5: From One Revolution... To Another

This image shows the change in music in the decade of choose. All the bands where cut out using the pen tool and then added outer glows to help the images stand out. I added some text to example where is happening in my image. I used blue and black and then applied it to my background using the gradient tool.

Image 6: I Fought The Law

This is the final image. I started by getting the background image of the notting hill riots. I used the pen tool to cut out the man running in the street and then used the clone stamp to fill in the missing areas. After adding the titles, i cut out an image of the clash bassist and placed he where the man in the street was originally.

Final image: Fought the law

Once again its the clash, i cutout the man in the street and filled in the gaps by using the clone stamp. then i positioned my other cutout and adding some text.

Image 2: Disco Queen

Its a different take on the sex pistols god save the queen. God save the 'disco' queen came from an idea of that disco music was ending.

image 2: disco queen

2nd Image and finding out about post-disco

my first thoughts of post disco was big hair and crazy clothing which was kind of wrong. Post disco is what came after that. So with this new knowledge my next image is on the biggest artist of the genre - Michael Jackson.

The image will be a silhouet of MJ on his billie jean walkway. started by cutting the image of him out of the image.

Final image 1 " London Calling "

This is the first of the six images for the assignment. The image is a remake of The Clash album "London Calling". I've used the image of the bassist smashing his guitar on the stage but replaced the stage with a image of london. Ive also used the original font for the title on the cover.
